in Active Scan will be able to determine the depth range with precision and will make your own measurements. So you will specify the starting and ending depth between 5 meters 16 feet and 250 meters 820 feet

Active Scan (Fast) This scanning mode is a quick version of the accurate scan, and it also pumps electric current into the ground and measures the potential difference (fall of voltage) to calculate the resistance of the soil.

Passive scanning (scanning) while using this scanning mode in a GeoSeeker uses two electrodes to read the natural voltage from the ground (electrical energy is not pumped into the ground). This mode is only used to detect water flowing underground.
